1What is Sugaring?
Sugaring is a natural hair removal method using a paste of sugar, water, and lemon juice, gently removing hair for smoother skin with reduced irritation compared to waxing. It's hypoallergenic and less painful, ideal for various body areas.
2How long do sugaring results last?
The hair growth cycle is unique and different for everyone, but usually, you will start to see the hair grow back in between 4 to 6 weeks after a treatment. Sugaring lasts about 1 week longer than if you chose to do a waxing treatment.
3Is there any special aftercare needed after sugaring?
Sugaring is gentle so a client can return to their normal daily activities soon after their treatment. At the Sugar Shack, we recommend avoiding hot tubs, heavy workouts, or any activities that would cause bacteria, dirt or sweat to form for roughly 24 hours after your treatment. Moisturizing regularly can also help maintain smoothness.
4How does sugaring compare to waxing in terms of pain?
Many individuals find sugaring to be less painful than traditional waxing because the sugar paste adheres mainly to the hair and not the skin, resulting in a gentler removal process.
5Can sugaring be used on all areas of the body?
Yes, our sugar paste is gentle enough to use on the body's most intimate areas. We offer a wide range of services for your intimate areas including – bikini, French bikini, Brazilian, and manscaping.
6How long should my hair be before getting sugared?
Hair should ideally be around 1/8 to 1/4 inch long, similar to the length of a grain of rice, for the most effective sugaring results.
7Can sugaring cause yeast infections?
Sugaring is generally less likely to cause yeast infections than traditional waxing due to its natural ingredients. However, maintaining hygiene and following aftercare instructions is essential to minimize any risk.
